The School of Human Sciences at Southern Illinois University Carbondale is accepting applications for faculty positions within their Kinesiology Program to teach in one or more of the following areas: exercise science, physical education, and sport administration. Faculty rank will be based on academic degree held.  These are full-time, 9-month term, non-tenure track faculty appointments with reappointment based on the needs of the program, availability of funding and the employee’s performance.  A comprehensive benefit package including health insurance and tuition waiver is provided. This position will include teaching the following courses depending on area of expertise:

  • KIN 202 PE for Classroom Teachers
  • KIN 210 Diversity in American Sport
  • KIN 318 Behavior Aspects of Exercise
  • KIN 369 Sport Analytics
  • KIN 416 Team Building

 

Earned Master’s (for appointment at rank of Assistant Lecturer) or Ph.D. (for appointment at rank of Assistant Professor of Practice) degree in Exercise Science/Sport Management/Kinesiology or related area at time of hire. 

Experience teaching college level courses in exercise science or sport administration.
