Assistant Professor (Econometrics)
College of Business and Analytics-SIUC

The School of Analytics, Finance, and Economics invites those with potential for excellence in researching and teaching Econometrics to submit an application for consideration as an Assistant Professor. This position is a continuing, tenure track, 9-month appointment to start August 16, 2021.

If selected, you will participate in undergraduate and graduate teaching, engage in scholarly research, and provide School/University service appropriate to your academic rank.

PhD in Economics or a related field with specialization in Econometrics.  ABD applicants will be considered if all requirements for the PhD degree will be completed by August 15, 2021.  If all requirements for the PhD are not completed by August 15, 2021, a term, non-tenure track appointment may be offered in accordance with University policy.  ( 

Applicants must show strong potential to engage in research that leads to publications in high quality journals and effective teaching at both the undergraduate and doctoral levels.


Preference will be given to candidates who can contribute to the Business Analytics program. Candidates who have experience working with a diverse range of faculty, staff, and students and who can contribute to the climate of inclusivity are encouraged to identify their experiences in these areas in their cover letter.
