  • Supervise and train Climbing Wall staff.
  • Coordinate periodic inspections of equipment.
  • Clean and maintain wall and holds; instruct wall safety trainings and clinics.
  • Work collaboratively with academic units on scheduling for classes.
  • Provide leadership in route-setting bi-weekly.
  • Act as liaison for birthday parties, lesson programs, and special events using the Climbing Wall and equipment.
  • A positive customer service aptitude is required for both in person and telephone communications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills needed.
  • Must be available daily, including evenings, weekends, and university breaks.  Specific hours vary for each season.
  • Must be trustworthy, detailed oriented and reliable.
  • Must be available for all staff trainings.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Preferred Requirements/Skills:

  • Attend all required OP meetings and trainings.
  • CPR/AED certification preferred.
  • AMGA certification preferred.
  • Wilderness First Responder certification preferred.
  • Lifeguard certification preferred.
  • Experience in rock climbing/indoor climbing walls.
