  • Inspects, cleans, lubricates, and makes minor adjustments to fitness equipment as needed under supervision of Equipment Services Supervisor (ESS) following preventive maintenance procedures.
  • Trouble-shoots any issues with fitness equipment, performing minor diagnostics both mechanical and electrical in nature under supervision of ESS.
  • Install new or replacement parts as needed on fitness equipment under supervision of ESS. A positive customer service aptitude is required for both in person and telephone communications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills needed.
  • Must be available daily, including evenings, weekends, and university breaks.  Specific hours vary for each person.
  • Must be trustworthy, detailed oriented and reliable.
  • Must be available for all staff trainings.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Preferred Requirements/Skills:

  • No physical restriction to bending, stooping, climbing, squatting, walking, kneeling, pushing/pulling, carrying or twisting.
  • Ability to lift at least 75 lbs. and occasionally up to 125 lbs.
  • Gross hand manipulation, fine hand manipulation, working in tight spaces required.
  • Experience with hand and power tools preferred.
  • Knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems and schematics.
  • Experience trouble-shooting mechanical and electrical issues preferred.
  • Familiarity with fitness equipment preferred.
