Develop conversational user interface and tools for student success. The College has implemented a virtual agent to answer frequently asked questions from students. The GA will continue to work on this project to improve it. New tools for student retention and graduation will be designed and development. Duties of this position include developing case studies and prototypes, testing and deploying these tools.

  • Be an unconditionally admitted graduate student at SIU;
  • Have excellent computer programming and software development skills;
  • Have a degree in Computing Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics or related areas;
  • Have knowledge and experience in research and development; and
  • Be prompt, proactive and motivated.
